Defragmenting and optimizing Windows Server 2012

To ensure that your server is running efficiently, Windows 2012 Server offers the possibility to analyze and to optimize your drives.

1) From the "Server manager", clic on the "Tools" menu (Top right), then select "Defragment and Optimize Drives".

2) Select the drive that you want to analyze, and clic on "Analyze".

3) If the selected drive needs optimization, clic on "Optimize". The defragmentation process will be started.

Note : You can change the scheduled optimization parameters by selecting "Change settings" :
